Today we will look at some fun apple recipes. Most of these recipes are so easy that you could even get your kids to help. Fun Apple Recipes: – Cider Doughnuts – Apple Turnover – Baked apple – Dried Apple Cider Doughnuts Cider doughnuts are delicious and very easy to make. You will need: – 1 cup of cider – Apple – Sugar – Egg – Nutmeg – Vanilla – Dry Pancake Mix Simply pour a cup of cider into a pan and gently boil until it thickens and is around a quarter of cup in volume. Peal the apple and grate half of it. Mix this with the cider and add 2 tablespoons of sugar, the egg, nutmeg and vanilla. Add two tablespoons of dry pancake mix. Roll the mixture into small balls and then deep fry these in hot oil. Baked Apples You will need: – 4 apples – brown sugar – butter – breadcrumbs – cinnamon – melon baller Carefully scoop out the core of an apple using a melon baller. Be careful and leave the bottom of the apple as it is, just remove the core from the top down. Then mix the sauce by mixing together 3 tablespoons of butter and 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, add 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs and 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon. Stuff this mixture into the hole in the apples. Place the apples in an oven safe dish and bake for around 45 minutes at 375 degrees. Dried Apples Dried apples are very easy to make, all you need are apples and some oil. Start by coring the apple and then cutting it into slices. For best results the slices should be around 1/8 inches thick. Spread the slices of apple out on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for around 2 or 3 hours. The apple should be dry but still slightly soft. Apples are a fantastic baking ingredient. They are perfect for snacking on and also cooking with.
