Purple was discovered by the Phoenicians in the 4th century B.C. The Phoenicians discovered during this period to produce a dense purple-red paint from the small species of sea snails that lived in the Tyros region of the Mediterranean. But getting this rich purple color is a rather laborious and costly process; so that ten thousand snails were needed to produce one gram of paint. Therefore, these purple silk dyed silks were also quite costly, so this color was used only by kings, queens and emperors.
For this reason, if you want to pass a statement at home, or if you want to pass a theme with your holistic side, you can paint your workplace in an enchanting tone of noble mornings or use a soothing tone of indigo in your bedroom. And you do not need sea snails for this!
